Vacancies

Volunteers support our fun-loving and interesting independent seniors, we have a core of volunteers who work in 3 shifts .

• Morning session – 10.00am to midday.   Serve coffee/tea and biscuits to members.   Help with food preparation for lunch (no cooking involved).   Lay the dining tables.

• Lunchtime session – midday to 2pm.   Serve the lunches.   Clear away the plates.   Serve coffee/tea.    OR do the washing up of cooking pots and pans, load the dishwasher with the plates.

• Afternoon session – 1.30 to 3pm.   Entertain the members – run a quiz, bingo, indoor games,  sing, dance, do a craft ……….

There is always time for a coffee and a chat.

 

Volunteers do not have to commit to a fixed time or day, they can cover just holidays or sickness, so that we have a reserve list.

 

We offer first aid training and there is an opportunity to do other training if interested,  we also offer for volunteers to accompany members and staff on outings (free of charge), help with fundraising events and even the possibility of joining members on a theatre trip with a small joining fee and discounted tickets.
